Health Science Internship
Clemson University
At Clemson, every health science student must take the internship preparatory seminar class, followed by an internship overseen by Clemson faculty. In the seminar class, students learn job interviewing skills, job skills, how to properly dress for a professional interview and job, etc. Once in an internship, students must check in weekly with their Clemson internship advisor, site preceptor, and submit projects for review. I earned an internship spot at the Sports Medicine Institute and my projects can be reviewed below.
Internship Description
August 2022 through December 2022 I interned at the Sports Medicine Institute in their Sports Performance and athletic training sectors. At the sports performance institute, I helped write warm up plans, workout plans, and help with marketing. With the athletic trainer, Stefanie Cox, I learned how to provide stem, cupping, and ultrasound therapy. I shadowed concussion testing protocols and return to play evaluations.
